The Happy Panic State

Grad school is now in full swing.  I have papers due and presentations to give and dear lord, READINGS to read.  Oh the reading. It is partial death.

But on Friday Lil Bit's teacher sent home a bright orange note, it says :

"Presenting The Greatest Show On Earth!
Circus Celebration This Friday!
Be sure to dress as your favorite circus performer!
(Don't go down to the halloween store and buy a costume! Just use what you have!)"

Well kids, that last part about "use what you have" is unfair.  Because I have a whole ROOM (now) of craft supplies, which to the child translates into "mom can make the most awesome tightrope walker costume evah!"

And who am I to disappoint? I'll be real honest with you, I'm pretty giddy about making a tightrope walker costume.

I'm just not sure when, before Friday, it's going to get done.

But we have a good base to the outfit.  All parts of which have been gleaned from other projects.  Take that other projects, Kindergarten has conquered you!

She's either going to look ah-mazing or she will be wearing a brown paper sack.  Either/or.

the brown paper sack could still work as a tightrope walker costume - they get kind of avant garde with their dress.
