The point in the semester has arrived when no one is comfortable. Everyone has a deadline to meet, even the professors. Its the point in the semester just before everyone turns into robots, when you just do the work, mechanically and you wake up in the morning with a keyboard impression on your face, not ever remembering falling asleep.
It's interesting to me that at this point in the semester, when we are all transforming into robots, how painful and freeing it is to have something as simple as good cheese and wine. Or a good snuggle. Or both.
It wakes up your human part again. And for just a while life slows down and everything seems a little bit sweeter.
Until the deadlines require you to forgo the sweet and the slow and try not to fall asleep at the computer.
Yep, it's that time of the semester.
